and this is no ordinary location

About the property

Set on 25ha Tuki Glamping is owned by the Black family.  It is an exceptionally special property where you can relax with family and friends in different spaces around the property.

Over the years the family have planted 100's of natives plants that are home to native birds such as the tui, piwakawaka, and morepork as well as introduced pheasant and quail. Old lombardy poplar trees dot the hillsides like giant sentinels, their leaves gently rustling, dancing and waving in the breeze.

The property has stunnng views up and down the Tukituki river valley.  You can see the triple peaks: Te Mata, Mt Erin and Mt Kahuranaki and in the distance are the Ruahine ranges that are often snow capped in the winter.  In the evenings there is little light, so the milky way is bright with frequent sightings of shooting stars.

No photograph can really show the depth of the valley's hillsides. The way the morning sun kisses the limestone cliffs or the green velvet of the spring grass carpeting the landscape, turning to golden brown in the summer months.  The sunsets are long and beautiful and sunrises are equally stunning.

Situated 15 minutes from Havelock North the campsite has easy access to many well-known vineyards, restaurants, beaches, walking and cycle trails and the Te Mata Peak Trust park.

The family has always wanted to share a small piece of this very special land with visitors and Tuki Glamping has made this possible.
